Why an Online Gallery?
- 25 years working as an image maker and a storyteller for publishing houses and brands such as Penguin Books, Gallimard, Hermès among others
- more than 20 childrens books (inspired by my witty kids) published and translated into many languages
- some exhibitions done with all my heart
- a few very personal artist books and publications edited with galleries
- many crafted objects produced from a Raining hand painted porcelain bowl to a Dancing Books blanket, not to mention a Cache-cache hand fan nor an Ice Cream printed Yukata
- 1 semester in Helsinki, Finland practicing screen printing and engraving in the freezing cold
- 4 months of residency at the Villa Kujoyama, Kyoto learning about handmade washi paper and woodblock printing
-1 year spent in London searching for the finest paintings, pigments and papers
From all these experiences, I have gained a strong knowledge of production and printing techniques, I have collected beautiful handmade papers from all around the world and have met passionate printers.
I have also worked with demanding editors, talented creative directors and details oriented graphic designers. They have given me opportunities to test a vast array of mediums and have encouraged me to develop my creativity.
Today, through this Online Gallery, I can share all this experience with people who feel a connection with my artwork.
When someone from Taiwan or Berlin acquires one of my drawings, it is always so surprising and overwhelming. I see it as an encouragement to continue what I do.
